]]>Thu, 19 Jan 2012 00:00:00 -1000http://www.fabricdirect.com.au/blog/tildas-studio/<![CDATA[Campbelltown Quilt Show]]>http://www.fabricdirect.com.au/blog/campbelltown-quilt-show/We just got home from a lovely weekend at the bi-annual Campbelltown Quilt Show.  We had the most wonderful time, meeting many of our customers and making new friends.  The guild are so friendly and we were treated to the most delicious scones!  We were excited to see that some of our brand new patterns sold really well, they will be up on the site soon.  The quality of the quilts on show were amazing with a very diverse range of styles and techniques.  Thanks so much to the Campbelltown Quilters Guild for a successful weekend and also to our new friends, especially our neighbour Maru from Material Girls Down Under. . .Eve x

]]>Mon, 07 Nov 2011 00:00:00 -1000http://www.fabricdirect.com.au/blog/slippers/<![CDATA[Summer House]]>http://www.fabricdirect.com.au/blog/summer-house/The lovely Summer House range by Lily Ashbury for MODA has arrived.  This range is totally gorgeous, I received a teaser set of charm squares a little while back and quickly sewed them up into the most lovely quilt top.  I have been patiently waiting for the yardage to arrive ever since so I could finish my new pattern, the yardage doesn't dissapoint.  The colours are so bright and cheery and the designs are an eclectic mix of vintage inspired designs.  My guess is that this range will stand the test of time and anything made with it will become an instant heirloom.  I can't wait to have the new patten up shortly, an easy to make quilt that showcases all the glorious fabrics from this Summer House range.

]]>Mon, 06 Sep 2010 00:00:00 -1000http://www.fabricdirect.com.au/blog/babushka/<![CDATA[Camden Quilt Show]]>http://www.fabricdirect.com.au/blog/camden-quilt-show/A big warm thank-you to everyone who came and visited us at the Camden Quilt Show last weekend.  We had a lovely weekend that was highlighted by meeting lots of wonderful people,  much laughter and delicious home made slices.  The quality of the quilts shown this year was outstanding, with our personal favourite being a replica of the Raja quilt.

We were so pleased with the response to our products and appreciate all the lovely comments on how 'pretty' it all looked :) 

We were excited to have quite a few new patterns to launch at this show including the very popular Babushka Bag Kit, this gorgeous bag is now available on the website, with all of our other new and exclusive patterns becoming available over the next week.

]]>Mon, 09 Aug 2010 00:00:00 -1000http://www.fabricdirect.com.au/blog/camden-quilt-show/<![CDATA[Macarthur Textile Show]]>http://www.fabricdirect.com.au/blog/macarthur-textile-show/We were so proud to have been asked recently to have a stall at the inaugural Macarthur Textile Show.  What a great day we had meeting so many wonderful people from the area.  The quality of products that were on show were totally amazing with quilts, knitting, weaving, sewing, felting and so much more incorporated into some inspiring works of art.

We actually only had two days to get ourselves organised for the show and the excitement of it all kicked in when we arrived in the morning and saw so many other gorgeous stall holders.

Thank you to everyone who commented on how pretty our products all looked, we felt like we were sitting in a lolly shop!   

We can't wait for next year. . . .
